This private client had a solicited article that she was preparing for publication in a journal on higher education. The client hired me to proofread and edit her re-write, give substantive feedback on organization and direction, and compare her direction editors’ comments. My contribution to the project included changes to grammar and spelling, APA formatting, changes to wording and tone, and comments on the writing. I also ensured the document met all the journal’s formatting and citation guidelines, wrote the bibliography and formatted in-text citations, wrote the abstract for the article, and collaborated on the final page. The sample below is my first feedback, though I also worked directly with the client, and significant changes were made during this one-on-one process.
This project has now been published in both the original journal and a collection of essays. The author receives regular requests for publication.
